This is a picture of Jenny in her momma's womb :-) I found it last night going through a bunch of James old pictures and since jenny is hundreds of miles away I am posting it for her to see...James is the little one with the diaper, then Brad Osborne in the red and Mindy Osborne in the dress. Leslie is about 9 months pregnant with Jenny. How funny!
Well this past Thursday Mel had her BEAUTIFUL baby girl Charlotte Paula Archer and I couldn't resist posting a picture of the little sweetheart! I took a lot of cute pictures, but turns out I'm not the professional photographer I sometimes pretend to be ;-) ha ha, I am SO glad you hired a photographer to take her newborns Mel.....I am just so happy for Mel and Ryan they are going to have such a great Christmas with this little sweetie! Congratulations!!!!!
And can you believe it, Payton is 9 MOnths Old! She is just the happiest baby ever (well, as long as we are not at the movies, church, or anywhere else that it might be convenient to behave) She really is wonderful though, we love her so much!
Payton at 9 Months..... -20.5 Pounds, 28.5 Inches -Just barely started rolling a couple weeks ago so crawling is pretty much out of the question.... -Loves all solid foods, favorite is graham crackers -Says "momma" "dadda" and "bubba" -loves to eat paper, the remote, my phone, and small pieces of lint conveniently found in the carpet -could stare at herself in the mirror all day, but her favorite is to stare at herself when dad is holding her! -Has 6 chompers, the bottom 2 came in at 4 months and the top for popped through at 8 months -Thinks Kaden is so funny! -Is a pretty great sleeper, other than the occasional 6:00 am feeding but I'm not complaining -still hates the bottle/loves momma -doesn't have much hair to speak of but we're working on it! -likes to copy anything you are doing with your mouth, especially if you are eating anything she MUST have it! -loves to growl at you
Also, we took the kids to see Santa tonight...pictures turned out OK considering Payton was screaming about 15 seconds before this was taken. Kaden was so excited all day to see Santa and tell him that he wanted the Diego game for the Wii (anyone have it? I have been trying to find a good age-appropriate game we could get him for the Wii???) but of course as soon as we got to see him Kaden immediately froze, nothing to say, could barely even move. At least he didn't cry though. So, Seasons Greetings 2008! Thanks Kiddie Kandids for this $20.00 5x7, you are making a fortune!
It seems like I am always a few days (sometimes a few weeks) late on my posts these days. That being said, Happy Thanksgiving! We had a wonderful day that included dinner at the Morzelewskis (Clark and Christines). The kids played, fought, played, fought some more. We ate, it was great! We rested our stomaches for 30 minutes then headed to my parents house for round 2. That was equally as yummy, without quite as much room in my belly the second time around of course. It was just nice to spend the day with our family! Also, I couldn't pass up the chance to say howGRATEFUL I am for all the people in my life that I love love LOVE! I love my kids so much and just feel so blessed every day to see them learn, grown, love, laugh, cry, explore, the list goes on and on.......... They are my world! I am also sothankful for James, for being such a loving husband and dad, so unselfish and giving, I couldn't ask for a better partner in my life!!! I am so thankfulfor caring Grandparents, who love their grand kids with never-ending amounts of enthusiasm! I am also completely thankful for wonderful friends, whom I trust and love soooo much! The best things in life are people....good people! And for those people I am truly GRATEFUL
This was the one shot I got on Thanksgiving.....John and Nila with all the grandkids Braxton, Payton, Kaden, Jameson, and Alex
The day after the big BYU/Utah game James got to sport his Utah tie to church so Kaden wanted to wear his football tie to match his Dad.....also please note that James does have a mustache in this picture. Gross, I know. I think he shaved it that way just to make me mad, and it wasn't until Kaden said he didn't like it that James finally shaved it off. Thank You Kaden!
Kaden doing the BYU/Utah Dance. He gets a little confused as to which team he should cheer for because he has been to so many games for both teams (James is mostly a Utah fan but his brother Josh is a strength coach for BYU so we kinda cheer for both) He deciphers between his favorite team by figuring out which mascot he likes best, Cosmo, Swoop, and for some reason he always talks about a horn-frog????? I don't know what team that is. I took pictures of Kaden dancing around before a Utah game, and a BYU game just cause I thought he looked cute :-)
As mentioned earlier, I had Lindsay take some pictures of the kids at Kaden's birthday party and I had to post them! Large kid group shots are the best, you have half of the kids screaming, a small few actually smiling at the camera and the rest just staring off into who knows where. I love all the kids in their costumes, it makes the shot even better! Thanks again LInds, you are THE BEST!
It has been quite a busy month, as October always seems to be. I am going to blame my lack of blogging on that, plus the fact that my cameras were not working like I wanted them to (I finally got my Nikon back from getting the dumb flash fixed, yeah!!!). Is that a good enough excuse? Hope so. I have made a small attempt to catch up, although I still need to post pictures from Kaden's birthday party! It was a blast so I won't forget! More pictures to come.....but until then here's an update!
Kaden, when did you turn into a such a Big Boy? I can't believe it, and I am getting tears in my eyes as I type this because I loooooove you more than words can say! I don't know how we got so lucky to be your parents but I just want you to know that you are just about the sweetest, most handsome little boys in the whole world! Happy Birthday (belated, yes I know) but we did have one heck of a party on your birthday so you can't complain about that! You have been talking about your birthday for the past 6 months (yes, I know you REALLY wanted to be 3 just like Ava and Nicholas) and I must say that 3 years suits you well. Love ya Bubba!!!!
Wow! Halloween was just about my busiest week of the year, thus far. Complete with Halloween parties, Thriller, Kaden's Birthday, Halloween itself, followed by more partying!!!! I love October and all of the festivities and I have pictures to prove it! We got to break in the kids Halloween costumes at my parent's Ward Hallween Party! Payton loved her chick costume..... chick head and all, suprisingly enough. Kaden, of course loved his costume as well. He was a boxer and if you asked him what he was he would do the punching hand motions to prove it :-)
Kaden and Grandma Sherri and the bean-bag toss
Pumpkin Pancakes for breakfast on Halloween, no they did not taste like pumpkins. Food coloring and plain pancake mix is about as far as I went.
Later that day we went to James work party, which was completely crazy! They had some 20,000 people at the Omniture building because each department goes all-out on the decorations. James' department did a BYU-Utah theme and brought in real grass to complete the look. It was fun, completely over the top!!
We then headed to the Morzelewski's and got all the cousins together to show off their costumes:
Kaden, Payton, Alex, Jameson and Braxton
Payton was really this happy every single time I put her costume on her!
Trick or Treating around my parents cirlcle, I loooove Halloween!
Kaden using his awesome boxing skills on Foe
We ended the week with a fabulous Halloween Party at the Wrights! I managed to get a picture of almost everyone except James and I, bummer! We dressed up as "guitar heroes" maybe someone else got a picture? We had dinner, played games, the kids laughed AND cried cried cried, definitly a success. Thanks so much Brody and Lindsay for a fantastic end to a fantastic month!!!!!
This was the coolest place ever and Kaden has been talking about it since we left!! The Olsen's were kind enough to bring us and the Ferrans along for a wonderful weekend to Pirates Cove, just outside of Vegas. I wish I had taken some better pictures of the actual property ( I blame my dumb camera) but it is unreal!! Kaden had a blast going down the waterslides, swimming, eating ice cream, and playing basketball in the pool, the list goes on! It was such a fun trip, thanks soooo much Ben and Kira!
Like I said, my camera was not working so I am blaming it for my lame pictures! You get the point though....we dressed up one day in pirate gear after we finished our treasure hunt that Ben's mom Thoma Lee was nice enough to set up for us! It was a blast!
What a pair. These two are like brother and sister.....the loving and the fighting :-)
Lindsay was so wonderful to take some fabulous family pictures for us a couple weeks ago! She did such an amazing job and was extremely patient with my little kiddos who were suprisingly on their best behavior that night! We got a good 2 hours out of Payton before she really lost it and Kaden was an angel. I was so happy with all the wonderful shots she was able to get, Lindsay is soooo talented, and as you can see we got a huge variety of pictures!!! So hard to decide, so I apologize for the incredibly long post! Check Lindsay out at lindsaywrightphotograhy.com
Thanks So Much Linds!!!!
I was bummed that the kids wouldn't really cooperate for this last picture! In every shot either Kaden or Payton were sad :-(
